The ZhiGong Bio Nucleic Acid Mass Spectrometer NTSPECTOF 9600 is a high-throughput, fully automated multiplex molecular diagnostics platform dedicated to nucleic acid analysis. Built on the core technology of matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS), the system achieves rapid and precise analysis of various nucleic acid biomarkers—including single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), gene mutations, methylation modifications, and pathogen typing—by measuring the exact molecular masses of nucleic acid fragments. It provides an integrated nucleic acid analysis solution for clinical diagnostics, public health surveillance, and life sciences research.
Detection principle:
NTSPECTOF 9600, based on MALDI‑TOF MS technology, generates nucleic acid fragments of specific molecular weights by performing PCR amplification of the target sequence followed by either single‑base extension or site‑specific enzymatic digestion. After co-crystallizing the sample with a matrix, laser‑induced ionization produces ions from the nucleic acid fragments. Ions with different mass-to-charge ratios (m/z) are separated in a vacuum flight tube according to their differing migration times. A detector records these ion arrival times and converts them into a molecular‑weight profile of the nucleic acid fragments. Finally, analysis software compares this profile with theoretical molecular weights to achieve precise identification of nucleic acid variant sites.
