The inaugural Yantai Precision Medicine and Summit Forum was successfully held on March 31, 2023, in the High-tech Zone of Yantai City. With the theme “Precision Medicine and Translational Medicine,” the forum was co-organized by Yantai Zhigong Biopharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., the Yantai High-tech Zone Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Investment Promotion Center, the Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical University in Yantai, and Shandong International Biotechnology Park Development Co., Ltd.

The inaugural Yantai Precision Medicine and Summit Forum was successfully held on March 31, 2023, in the High-tech Zone of Yantai City. Centered on the theme of “Precision Medicine and Translational Medicine,” the event was co-organized by Yantai Zhigong Biopharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Yantai High-tech Zone Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Investment Promotion Center, the Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical University in Yantai, and Shandong International Biotechnology Park Development Co., Ltd. The forum brought together renowned experts from the Institute of Modern Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Second Hospital of Lanzhou University, Gansu Provincial People’s Hospital, Shanghai Tech University, Northwest Minzu University, Yantai University, and Binzhou Medical University. Participants engaged in academic exchanges on cutting-edge topics such as precision medicine and clinical translational medicine, offering fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and new approaches to advance Yantai’s biopharmaceutical industry and further strengthen domestic cooperation and exchange in the field of precision medicine.
At the conference, Yantai Zhigong Biopharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. was officially inaugurated and signed agreements with Lanzhou University, Yantai University, the School of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine at Binzhou Medical University, the Gansu Provincial Society of Immunology, and the Gansu Provincial Society of Bioengineering, injecting a continuous stream of innovative momentum into research on the mechanisms underlying the onset and progression of complex diseases, as well as into clinical multi-omics studies and their translational applications.
“By signing agreements with renowned universities and research institutions, we can strengthen comprehensive collaboration between academia and industry in the field of industry–university–research integration, explore new models for talent development, and foster positive, mutually beneficial interactions. This will enable us to better achieve joint talent cultivation and resource sharing,” said Che Tuanjie, General Manager of Yantai Zhigong Biopharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. He added that Zhigong Bio is pioneering uncharted territory in the cancer‑related market, addressing critical gaps in clinical diagnostic needs for bladder cancer. Building on its work in bladder cancer genomics and the development of early‑diagnosis gene chips, the company is now advancing the R&D and industrial-scale production of products for bladder cancer early warning, prognosis, pharmacotherapy, infection monitoring, and biochemical diagnostics.
This forum showcased the achievements made in basic research, translational innovation, and standardized clinical application of precision medicine, while fostering extensive discussions on the challenges encountered across diverse fields and industries in the implementation of precision medicine, as well as the lessons learned from addressing these challenges. It also explored and shared prospects for mutually beneficial collaboration throughout the precision‑medicine value chain, spanning both upstream and downstream sectors.
