Yantai Zhigong Biopharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise co-founded by returned overseas scholars and experts in the biopharmaceutical industry, serving as the Yantai Technology Transfer Base of Baiyuan Gene. The company is pioneering uncharted territory in the oncology field, addressing critical gaps in clinical diagnostic needs for bladder cancer. Building on its research in bladder cancer genomics and the development of early‑diagnosis gene chips, the company is advancing the R&D and industrial-scale production of products for bladder cancer risk prediction, prognosis monitoring, personalized medication guidance, infection detection, and biochemical diagnostics. The Company’s Molecular Diagnostics Technology Innovation Center is a technology innovation hub established in Yantai by the Gansu Provincial Key Laboratory of Functional Genomics and Molecular Diagnostics and the Gansu Biochip Engineering Laboratory. Led by Professor Xu Jinzhang, a second‑level professor, and Professor Chen Yirong, a chief physician, the center leverages nucleic acid diagnostics, biochemical diagnostics, and immunoassay technologies to develop a range of rapid diagnostic methods across three key domains: medicine, environmental monitoring, and food safety. Its applications encompass the swift detection of infectious diseases, cancer, diabetes, and other conditions. The testing platforms include compact, portable high‑throughput devices as well as flow‑based liquid‑phase chip technologies, enabling deployment in diverse settings such as specialized testing laboratories, hospitals, community health centers, and customs and port facilities.
